Fried Rice for Kids

Fried rice is the easiest thing to cook and it is good for working moms. You may cook this ahead earlier the night before or even in the morning itself. The ingredients are easy to prepare and it doesn't take a very long time to cook.

Ingredients:
  • Leftover cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 2 carrots (diced)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup soy sauce (to taste)
  • pepper
Steps:
  1. Heat up oil in a wok and add onion, celery, and carrots.
  2. Saute for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add peas and cook one minute more until peas are thawed.
  4. Push the veggies to one side of the wok and scramble eggs in empty side of skillet.
  5. Mix eggs into veggies and season with pepper. Then add soy sauce.
  6. Then slowly mix in rice by the spoonful until all rice is added and all ingredients are well blended.
  7. Fry until steamy hot stirring often.
