Do you have a spaghetti sauce recipe? Do you like your spaghetti sauce recipe? Do you wish to have a better spaghetti sauce recipe?

If your answer is yes to all of the above questions, then I may be able to help you. It is very easy to cook spaghetti as there are many readily made available spaghetti sauces in the markets or supermarkets. But if you want to cook spaghetti sauce from scratch (which is by the way, way much cheaper), you may try this spaghetti sauce recipe. All you need are some good and fresh tomatoes and you are good to go. Remember to always start boiling your spaghetti noodles first before you proceed to do the spaghetti sauce, as the spaghetti takes a longer time to cook. If you want to save time, get the thinner ones. Here are the ingredients and the steps to take in cooking this spaghetti sauce. I hope you enjoy this spaghetti sauce recipe. I would love to know whether you like this spaghetti sauce receipt, so please drop a comment or two below.

Ingredients:

2 lbs Italian sausage

1 small onion, chopped (optional)

3 -4 garlic cloves, minced

1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes

2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste

2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce

2 cups water (for a long period of simmering for flavors to meld. If you don't want to simmer it as long, add less)

3 teaspoons basil

2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes

1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/4-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper

1 lb thin spaghetti

parmesan cheese

Feel free to substitute any of the above listed ingredients to suit your taste.

Steps:

In large, heavy stockpot, brown Italian sausage, breaking up as you stir.

Add onions and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until onions are softened.

Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water.

Add basil, parsley, brown sugar, salt, crushed red pepper, and black pepper.

Stir well and barely bring to a boil.

Stir in red wine.

Simmer on low, stirring frequently for at least an hour. A longer simmer makes for a better sauce, just be careful not to let it burn!

Spoon sauce over drained spaghetti noodles and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524840330496408789.post-79684957064074508562014-12-23T23:07:00.000-08:002016-12-04T07:25:29.014-08:00Spicy Crabs with Pasta
This is a great one pot dish. There are many recipes out there for us to try and we do not need to stick to one or two recipes in cooking prawns. I know I am guilty of that as I only know how to stir fry spicy prawns and steamed prawns. Since I am feeling a bit adventurous today, I am going to try the spicy szechuan style recipe which I found today which is slightly complicated from the normal recipes. I hope you will also enjoy this as much as I do.
Ingredients:

1/2 teaspoon szechuan peppercorns

1/2 teaspoon white peppercorns

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 cup peanut oil

1 lb large shrimp, peeled, shelled and deveined

4 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons minced garlic

3 tablespoons serrano chilies, seeded and minced

lime, for garnish

Directions:
Pepper salt
In a small saute pan over medium heat, toast the Sichuan and white peppercorns, shaking the pan, for about 3 minutes. Then remove the pan from the heat; set aside to cool slightly. Then grind the peppercorns and combine with the salt.
Shrimps
Saute the shrimps in a wok or large saute pan over medium-high heat after coating the shrimps in the cornstarch. Remember to remove the excess cornstarch by shaking the coated shrimp in a sieve or strainer.

Toss a few times to cook through on both sides, for about 2 to 3 minutes then remove from heat.

Discard the access oil and add in the garlic, chili pepper and pepper-salt mixture into the wok.

Add in the shrimps again and toss the shrimps with the spice mixture until the spices release their fragrance for another 1 minute.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05144378588759183164noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524840330496408789.post-57366894533781378022014-12-01T22:49:00.000-08:002016-12-04T07:25:29.067-08:00Hot and Spicy King Prawns
There are some fresh seafood ingredients in the market today and I've decided to cook myself some prawns. My husband enjoys hot and spicy food, so I decided to cook him some hot and spicy prawns. Like fish, prawns cooks really fast and if it is overcooked, the prawns can be very rubbery. The key to cook prawns is to ensure that the pan is hot and not to cook it for more than 4 minutes - depending of course to the size of the prawns.

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

8 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon sweet paprika

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

3 lbs large shrimp, shelled and deveined

salt

1 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro or 1 cup flat leaf parsley

Directions:

Firstly, heat up the olive oil in a very large skillet.

Then stir in the garlic, paprika, cumin, ginger and cayenne and cook over moderate heat until fragrant.

Then add the shrimp and cook it for about 2 to 4 minutes.

Finally, season it with salt and stir in the cilantro.

This dish is best serve warm with rice.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05144378588759183164noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524840330496408789.post-25657671086960017882014-11-26T22:30:00.000-08:002016-12-04T07:25:29.086-08:00Fish with Herbs and Butter
It is very easy to overcook fish. The key to cook fish is to watch the heat. If your pan is too hot, it will overcook the fish. But if the pan is not hot enough, the fish may stick on the pan. So I would recommend you to use a non-stick pan to cook a fish. Always place the skin side down in order to avoid the fish meat from overcooked. This recipe doesn't take too long to cook and I hope you will enjoy it.

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons butter, softened

1 teaspoon dill weed

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 lbs white fish fillets

Directions:

Mix all but fish in small bowl.

Then heat up a skillet and add butter mixture.

Add fish and saute for about 6-7 minutes on each side.

Finally, finish with lemon wedges as garnish.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05144378588759183164noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524840330496408789.post-5932565519167030602014-11-11T22:21:00.000-08:002016-12-04T07:25:29.103-08:00Fish And Chips with Beer Batter
The English loves their Fish and Chips. Reading recipes books and reading recipes blogs doesn't actually show the correct method when it comes to cooking. And I refer to videos online to get some clue how to go about cooking salmon the right way. Recipes books and recipes blogs shares the ingredients we use but not the way to cook it. This is a video which I find very useful where the chef actually explain the procedure and the reasons why it should be cooked in this way. I'm sure you will get a tip or two in how to cook a salmon the right way after watching this video. You may also use the same tip by trying to cook salmon in different flavors like the one I shared here: Teriyaki Salmon.

But if you want to cook everything from scratch (it is much cheaper), you may try this recipe. All you need is some good and fresh tomatoes and you are good to go. Remember to always start boiling your spaghetti noodles first before your proceed to do the sauce, as the spaghetti takes a longer time to cook. If you want to save time, get the thinner ones. To start of, see the ingredients as listed below:-
Ingredients:

2 lbs Italian sausage

1 small onion, chopped (optional)

3 -4 garlic cloves, minced

1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes

2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste

2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce

2 cups water (for a long period of simmering for flavors to meld. If you don't want to simmer it as long, add less)

3 teaspoons basil

2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes

1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/4-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper

1 lb thin spaghetti

parmesan cheese

Feel free to substitute any of the above listed ingredients to suit your taste.
Steps:

In large, heavy stockpot, brown Italian sausage, breaking up as you stir.

Add onions and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until onions are softened.

Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water.

Add basil, parsley, brown sugar, salt, crushed red pepper, and black pepper.

Stir well and barely bring to a boil.

Stir in red wine.

Simmer on low, stirring frequently for at least an hour. A longer simmer makes for a better sauce, just be careful not to let it burn!

Spoon sauce over drained spaghetti noodles and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05144378588759183164noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524840330496408789.post-52435736474516969012014-10-02T21:00:00.000-07:002016-12-04T07:25:29.262-08:00Barbecue Whole Chicken

Ingredients:

Whole fresh chicken

Salt and Pepper

1 tablespoon honey

2 garlic cloves, crushed

Paprika powder

Spring onion

Cooking Steps:

Clean the chicken and spread it out on a plate.

Marinate the chicken with salt and pepper, honey, garlic cloves and paprika powder for at least 3 hours.

Wrap the chicken in an aluminium foil and poke some holes around it.

Set the oven at 240C and bake the chicken for 50 minutes.

Tear off the top of the aluminium foil and continue for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and garnish with spring onion.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05144378588759183164noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524840330496408789.post-15762486095872714262014-10-02T20:48:00.000-07:002016-12-04T07:25:29.280-08:00Pork Stew
Cold weather makes me very much hungrier than warm weather.
