Hammer Meals by Burger King

Burger King has just launched its new blockbuster meals in anticipation of the sequel Thor: The Dark World which will premiere in Malaysia on 31 October 2013. The epic “Hammer Meals” – Hammer Angus Whopper Meal and Hammer Tendercrisp Chicken Meal is set to steal the thunder from the God of Thunder himself!

If you are a patty devourer, go for the Hammer Angus Whopper Meal which comes with a large burger with a juicy angus patty laid out generously with the signature Whopper pile-up of fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles. The drool-worthy creation is smeared generously with Burger King’s famous black pepper sauce, and is held together by a 5-inch burger bun. The meal is going for RM13.95 and comes with a serving of medium sized fries and a 16oz serving of Lemon Bolt which is a citrusy and tangy concoction of Blue Curacao, lemon syrup and sprite. Truly food for the Gods!

Salted Fish Taugeh

Do you know taugeh is actually green beans? Just place a few green beans on a cotton and add some water. Leave it for about 48 hours and you will get taugehs. Taugeh cooks very easily and is used in many Chinese cooking. Taugeh is tasteless, so it is good to be cooked with salted fish. Here is my recipe on how to cook a nice plate of salted fish taugeh. Enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • taugeh
  • oil
  • salted fish
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic

Cooking Method:

  1. First, clean the taugehs with water.
  2. Then heat up the wok and pour the oil in. Don't use too much oil if you do not want your dish to be too oily.
  3. Pour in the garlic and salted fish and fry until it is fragrant.
  4. Pour in the taugeh and add salt and pepper into the dish. Thereafter, add some water.
  5. Stir for a minute and plate it up. Serve warm.
