- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3 1/2 cups cold water, divided
- 3 cups peeled chopped papayas
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 large lemons)
- Combine sugar and boiling water and stir until sugar dissolves.
- After cooling slightly, pour in the sugar syrup along with 2 cups cold water, some cut papaya and lemon juice in a blender.
- Process until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups cold water and serve the drink over ice.
