Roast Duck Recipe

If you do not know what to roast on Sunday for a Sunday roast, try roasting a duck. Roasted duck is a favourite of mine. However, roast duck doesn't comes cheap. A whole bird could cost about RM42 per bird in Kepong area. If you are on a budget, try this recipe. I'm sure that you will love it. Leave a comment if you like it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (5 lb) ducklings
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon powdered ginger

Cooking method:

  1. Wash and dry duckling.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and brush inside and out over duckling; let stand for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. Roast for 2 hours, turning and basting with drippings occasionally.
